Not for emergencies

This website and our text messages are not for emergencies. If you have a medical emergency, call 911.

Medical care

Care is provided by independent licensed clinicians. A clinician reviews your information and decides whether any treatment is appropriate. A prescription is not automatic. Information on this website is general information and is not medical advice.

Membership and consult fees

Sunset Health bills membership fees and clinician consult fees. The membership contract is with Sunset Health, Inc.. You see the price that applies to you at checkout, and your card is charged that price when you complete checkout. This page does not state a price.

Automatic renewal

A membership renews automatically for another period of the same length as the period shown to you at checkout, at the price shown at checkout. We tell you before a renewal if that price will change. Where the law of your state requires a reminder before a renewal, we send that reminder to the email address on your account.

Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel in your account or by email to support@sunset-health.com. You may also call [SUPPORT_PHONE]. Phone is not the only way to cancel. Cancel at least 48 hours before the next renewal charge. A membership that is not a medication-plan subscription does not renew, and you are not charged for another period. You keep access through the last day of the period you already paid for.

A medication-plan subscription has a 3-month minimum of 3 paid monthly invoices. Calendar time alone does not meet that minimum. While fewer than 3 monthly invoices have been paid, you can schedule cancellation for the end of the billing period in which the third payment is made, and the billing portal does not cancel that subscription sooner. A membership that is not a medication-plan subscription is not subject to this minimum. If a provider determines the medication is not suitable for you, or you have an adverse reaction, the care team can cancel that plan immediately.

The membership or consult fee for a period that has already started is not refunded and is not prorated, except as stated in this policy and except where the law requires a refund.

If you cancel, or a clinician determines you are not eligible, before a visit is completed and before any medication is dispensed, we refund the membership or consult fee charged for that period. After a visit is completed, that fee is not refunded.

Medication charges

Medication is billed separately by the dispensing pharmacy. Sunset Health does not set that charge and does not refund it. Once the pharmacy has processed or shipped an order, the pharmacy charge is final. If the pharmacy has not yet processed the order, email support@sunset-health.com at least 48 hours before processing and we will ask the pharmacy to stop it. A question about a pharmacy charge goes to the dispensing pharmacy.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be 18 or older and located in a state where Sunset Health offers care. You must provide accurate information. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.

Telehealth

A telehealth visit uses secure messages, telephone, or video. The clinician tells you which method applies before the visit. The visit requires the separate consent at Telehealth consent.

Text messages

If you give prior express consent, Sunset Health sends text messages about your care: appointment reminders and scheduling notices, prescription status notices, and account notices such as sign-in codes and security alerts. We do not send marketing texts under this program. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchase or of care. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in data are not sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse this website, interfere with its operation, or attempt to access information that is not yours.

Intellectual property

Content on this website belongs to Sunset Health, Inc. or its licensors. You may not copy it without permission.

Arbitration and Texas venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, except where a rule of the state where you are located controls a health-care question. Disputes between you and Sunset Health, Inc. about these terms, the website, a membership, or a consult are resolved by individual binding arbitration seated in Texas, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court. You may opt out of arbitration by sending a written notice to support@sunset-health.com within 30 days after you first agree to these terms. These terms do not permit a class action or a class arbitration. A court proceeding that these terms allow is brought in the state or federal courts located in Texas. This section does not apply where the law of your state does not allow it.

Limitation of liability

The website is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the website. Our total liability to you for a claim about the website, a membership, or a consult is limited to the membership and consult fees you paid to Sunset Health, Inc. in the twelve months before the claim. That limit does not cover a charge billed by a dispensing pharmacy. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury where the law forbids that limit, or any other liability the law does not allow us to limit.

Changes

We post updates to these terms on this page. The version on this page is the one that applies.
